Calamagrostis brachytricha (Poaceae) Korean feather grass

This clump forming, non-invasive, ornamental grass from Asia is a beautiful addition to formal and natural landscapes. The attractive, light green foliage puts up a fountain shaped display with airy, pink flowers that persist long into the fall and makes an attractive addition to a cut flower garden. Once established it is nearly bullet proof and will delight for years to come. One of the better grasses for a shady garden, being one of the few that will flower in such conditions. It also does well in a hot a sunny spot.
