Achillea (Compositae)

$12.00

Yarrow is an aromatic, hardy perennial. Small clusters of flowers atop flat, 2-6 in clusters on 2-3 ft. plants that can flower for up to 3 months. Likes a sunny, dry location. Easy, maybe too easy. Some species are quite aggressive. Common throughout the Northern Hemisphere, and used culturally and medicinally throughout. The name Achillea refers to a Greek legend that the centaur Chiron taught Achilles about the astringent herb and he carried it with him to the battles of Troy. We offer some colorful cultivars that make a beautiful dried flower. The naturalized, wild strain is best medicinally.

AVAILABLE THIS YEAR

A. millefolium ‘Colorado Mix’ - a blend of pastel colors.
