Like a double form of a buttercup of which it is related. They like a damp, sunny location with protection from the afternoon sun. They have a reputation as being difficult, but given the right conditions it can form impressive clumps without much trouble. A beautiful, long-lived and well behaved perennial once established. Makes a nice cut flower. Top notch!
