It can flower all Summer if spent blooms are picked. It prefers dry conditions, full sun, and is susceptible to crown rot if Winter conditions are too wet. Believed to ward off evil spirits and nocturnal goblins or nightmares in old Europe. Today it used to treat anxiety, migraines, high blood pressure and other neuralgia complaints.
