Achillea Millefolium (Compositae) - Yarrow

Yarrow is an aromatic, hardy perennial. Small clusters of flowers atop flat, 2-6 in clusters on 2-3 ft. plants that can flower for up to 3 months. Common throughout the Northern Hemisphere, and used culturally and medicinally throughout. The name Achillea refers to A Greek legend that the centaur Chiron taught Achilles about the astringent herb and he carried it with him to the battles of Troy. We offer some colorful cultivars that make a beautiful dried flower. The wild strain is best medicinally.
