Allium Tuberosum (Liliaceae) - Garlic Chives

Also known as garlic chives, this is the flat leaved, garlic flavored version of perennial chives. Spreads slowly and develops into a nice clump. In summer it puts up a 12 in-15 in stalk with a dome of white allium flowers. Though they are drought tolerant. garlic chives like a moist, well drained soil and full sun to part shade to really thrive. Native to China, a TCM medicinal, edible and ornamental!
