Belamcanda Chinensis, (Iridaceae) - Blackberry Lily

Commonly known as blackberry lily because of the cluster of black seeds that cluster like a big berry after flowering. The foliage is sword shaped like an iris and it sends a unique star shaped flower in bright yellow-orange to red and spotted in red freckles. Puts on a beautiful late summer show. Belamcanda, known as She-Gan, is native to China and has been used as a medicinal to treat upper respiratory infections.
