Arrhenatherum elatius (Poaceae) - Tuber oat grass

A nice, low growing ornamental grass with green leaves edged with broad white edges. Forms funny, tuberous balls at the base of the plant, hence the name. Tolerant of dry soils and full sun, the little clumps look great all season, especially in the fall when they glow against the mostly dormant garden. Non- invasive and easy to grow.
